New Moon

So... I'm just going to let it all out. I cannot wait to see New Moon. Let me count why for you:

1. Peter Facinelli is Carlisle--the last movie I saw him in besides Twilight was Can't Hardly Wait, where he was a bitchy jock... oh how the tables have turned.
2. Taylor Lautner--facebook says he is my Twilight soulmate... and even though he is 18 or something... he is hot. I don't have to mack it to him in real life to enjoy him on the silver screen in all of his bare-chested, wolfish glory.
3. Dakota Fanning as a super-bitchy vampire... oh yes please!
4. I'm not as thrilled because this was my least favorite of the book series. I don't like that she kept trying to be hurt to be close to him. I know breakups are hard, but I don't think that danger is the way to get over it. Especially not when teenage girls is your most popular audience--seriously, what kinds of things are we teaching the young women of this generation?
5. Who doesn't love monster flicks--ESPECIALLY secret monster worlds hidden within our society, protecting us, destroying us, unbeknownst to us!
6. We'll see if the entire film is super-intense like Twilight, which for me was a downer, since the book is NOT like that. Meyer highlights light moments like Bella doing the dishes (when she's frustrated, to the radio, to avoid talking to her dad), and Edward's goofy crooked vampire smile...
