Prayer for our Veterans and Troops

Dear Lord,

Thank you for veterans and soldiers--for people who selflessly protect, who tirelessly train, who know a lot about sacrifice. Thank you for guiding them, for protecting them, for giving them courage, heart, and hope.

Thank you for those people who died so we could be free, fight so we can live, and who sacrifice their time, safety, comfort, and family so we can have them.

Lord, there is something dangerous in a man or woman who has seen war--something powerful and haunting; guide them so they use their power to protect justice and peace.

Pour your blessings upon them as they are remembered, as some families mourn, as some heal, and as some celebrate their safe return, and give them supernatural rest and rejuvenation.
